Open Call: Bruges 2030 is looking for YOUR project!
Would you like to make Bruges the art and culture city of the future? Are you eager to work on a new project? We got you! Present your project to us and who knows, maybe you'll get a budget to make your artistic dreams come true.
We are looking for new talent, new forms or new collaborations around the theme The art of Conversation.
Both individual artists from Bruges and arts and culture organisations or associations from Bruges can participate.
The project takes place between 1 April and 31 December, 2024, with a start date for 1 July 2024.
The deadline for your project proposal is Thursday 21 March 2024.

As we prepare to submit our candidacy, we intend to set up a number of projects revolving around ‘The art of Conversation’. We will also collaborate with other organisations and enthusiasts who want to work on this theme.

Bruges would like to become European Cultural Capital in 2030.
If we want to face the challenges our society today brings, we will need to talk. About profound truths, casual moments, intense emotions. With each other, and with ourselves. Somewhere along the line, between the internet revolution, globalisation and the pandemic, we seem to have lost the gift of conversation. But if there is anything that brings people together, connects and touches our core, it is art and culture.
That is why the theme of Bruges 2030 will be:
